The tractor-trailer was heading southbound on Belvidere-Martins Creek Highway and Route 611 when it struck a dump truck that was stopped at a stop sign near South Delaware Drive in Lower Mt. Bethel Township shortly before 6:25 a.m., according to the Lower Mt. Bethel Sandt's Eddy Fire Company.

The driver had “misjudged the curve” and continued into the field ahead for about 75 feet, the fire company said.

The roadway was temporarily closed as crews rigged and towed the damaged vehicles.

The driver of the dump truck was treated by ambulance crews at the scene, which was cleared by about 8:45 a.m.
